This is Jay. He likes to design.

Jay's path to becoming an architect was as direct as they come. When he was in grade 5 he announced to the class that he wanted to be the best architect in the world. The die was cast...

History

It was fate that liberated Jay from many years of employment by some of the best firms in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul area. The 2008 economic "downturn" caused Jay to quickly set himself up as the sole proprietor of a firm that can accomplish the highest quality work for projects of scale by using the best equipment, best programs, and occasionally associating with other firms that can offer their special expertise and staff. Jay also offers quality control peer review services for architectural firms and construction monitoring for financial institutions. These are ideas that defined the new firm:

Jay P Nelson, Architect:

  • Always do right by the budget, materials, location, and the client
  • Never forget why you're designing in the first place
  • The Owner Owns the project
  • No matter how you do it, leave your mark of special quality
